To photograph is to hold one’s breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It’s at that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy.
Henri Cartier-Bresson
Captured through the lense
I am constantly intrigued by the interplay of light, the richness of texture, and the complexity of pattern. The camera is a tool for me to record a fleeting moment when the light hits just right or I am inspired by some exquisite design observed in nature. My photographs serve as a reference, capturing the spirit of a memorable trip or simply an ordinary day spent hiking and exploring, offering inspiration for my paintings. I enjoy capturing the complexity and ingenuity of human-made structures as well as the nuances of the natural world. The photograph is a recording of a moment of beauty or simplicity, with textures and evidence of the passage of time that invite curiosity and tell a story.
